Catching Up - One Month Already!

Sorry for the delay folks.  Ellsley had a bit of a rough week going through a growth spurt, but we are back in action!  A quick summary:

Ellsley hit her one month mark!  Here's a "look-how-big-I-am" shot from the 26th.

She went to the doctor this week and was 8lbs 6oz.  Dr. DiMaria was very happy with her growth so we are too!

In the midst of a rough week of fighting naps, Hill discovered that Ellsley will basically ALWAYS fall asleep in her stroller.  Here she is getting in some stroller action shots.

Let's do this!

It was a little chilly this weekend so we got bundled up for our walks.

We are working lots on smiles.  Here are a few:

Ellsley got to spend some quality time with her Grandma, Aunt Emily and cousin Hunter this weekend too!

Hunter was super helpful!

Although he is a bit of a ham.

Baths, Naps and Smiles!

A quick update:

Ellsley is doing great!  She is learning to nap during the day which her parents think is wonderful.  She got to hang out with her cousin Hunter on Saturday, and he was pretty interested in her.

Sunday was bath day.  The jury is out on how she feels about the bath, but she did pretty well with this one.

(Dad set up the tripod on the stove and took these with a remote, managing not to knock the camera off during the bath!)

Kali very much wants to be part of her new sister's life.

Ellsley also got to meet her uncle Steven this week!

Ellsley starting smiling at us yesterday, so hopefully we will have a picture of that soon!

Grr baby, very grr!

Yes, it's true, Ellsley had her first professional photo shoot yesterday.

Ok.  It's sort of true.

Dr. Appt #2 - Packing on the pounds (or ounces)

Ellsley had her second doctor appointment on Wednesday.  She was up to 6lbs 14.5oz from 6lbs 10z when we left the hospital.  Dr. DiMaria was very happy that she was gaining weight and our next appointment won't be until her 2 month birthday.

She has been doing great, and sleeping very well at night.  She is usually pretty fussy in the evenings until about bedtime, but is otherwise great.  Mom even taught her to nap today! Also, Dr. Dimaria gave a big thumbs-up for a pacifier, which we are using sparingly in the evening when nothing else will work.  Look how cute!

Ellsley also got some tummy time today which she really liked (promise, despite the face she is making)!

Ellsley loves to nap in her chair during the day too (thanks Aunt Emily and Uncle Jon for the chair!)

And one more just because she is too cute.

I only got pooped on twice today

But it was worth it.

Ellsley's First Doctor's Visit

Ellsley went to see her pediatrician yesterday, taking her first car ride since coming home from the hospital!  She did great in her car seat and slept while she was in the car.

Dr. DiMaria was very happy with how she is doing, and she was already back up to her birth weight yesterday! Now, what you really want.
